Brain Dead-Family Grieves

This true story is given to you by http://www.angeltouchespublishing.com

Zach D. was pronounced dead on November 2007 at a Healthcare System in Texas. There was no activity from the results of the brain scan, no blood flow at all.  Now the doctors were about to prepare his body for the surgery to ‘harvest his organs’, a procedure that had been authorized by his parents.

His family members were grieving and paying their last respects to the young man before he was to go into the surgical ward.  Zach had been injured in an all terrain vehicle accident—and now, he was dead.

Wait!  Zach moved his foot and hand!

A Doctor jumped to attention and scraped a pocketknife across Zach’s foot and applied pressure under a fingernail ! ! He looked across to the family and emotionally he told them—“He is Alive” !

His mother, nearly overcome, said that proclamation was the most miraculous feeling she had ever known!  The family had gone from the lowest possible emotion that parents could feel to the top of the mountains again!

Zach was kept at the hospital for 48 days, and then released to come home.  His story was told on NBC’s “Today” show.  When the interviewer asked how he felt, Zach replied “I feel pretty good.  But it’s just hard—just ain’t got the patience I once had.

Zach did not remember anything about the crash.

Zadh did remember the doctors pronouncing him dead!

He says that it just makes him thankful that they didn’t give up!
