The Angel And The Lug Nuts

The day was quite a busy day!

We had to go and get the last pieces of siding for my Dad's house. I went along with my son, taking the "old-faithful rusting on its body truck".

As we were going down the side road, my son said, "I think we are getting a flat tire!" He pulled over into a near by gas station's parking lot.

As he worked hard on trying to remove the lug nuts, I sat on the curb and began to pray! I could see my son was struggling with the lug nuts. They were so rusted! I just sat there, and prayed, "Oh Lord, just let him get those nasty rusted lug nuts loosened! He is working so hard!"

Just as I finished the prayer, I looked over to my son, and to my total surprise, I saw him give a huge twist and fall roughly to the cement! I quickly looked at the loosened lug nut he held up in his hand.

And what did I see on that lug nut? A shiny, glistening substance, like someone had just put fresh oil on it! I saw it shine in the sunlight! I did! That lug nut which had been rusty just seconds ago was now shiny and oily!

My son, getting up from his fall, looked over at me and grinned. He said "You were praying, weren't you Mom?"

I sat there, dumbfounded, shaking my head, visualizing an "angel with an oil can" that God had sent to help my son in answer to my prayer! It reminded me again just what the Lord can and will do when you truly beseech him for help by just asking in prayer!
